What's new
Release notes for GEOforge — the new features, improvements, and fixes that have shipped, newest first.
This page tracks what's changed in GEOforge, newest first. We group each release into three kinds of change:
- New — capabilities that weren't there before.
- Improved — things that already worked, now working better.
- Fixed — bugs we've squashed.
Version numbers follow a simple pattern: the first number changes when something big reshapes the product, the middle number when we add a new capability worth noticing, and the last number for fixes and smaller polish.
Version 1.6.0 — 7 July 2026
New
- Meet Vec, your in-app assistant. Vec now lives on your dashboard — ask it questions and it can look at your brand's own data to help. It also flags competitors that show up in your Share-of-Voice measurements so you can review them.
- A guided onboarding flow. New brands are walked step by step from initial setup all the way to their first draft, with a friendlier knowledge-base setup along the way.
- Notifications and email preferences. A new notifications bell keeps you up to date in-app, and a preferences page lets you choose exactly which updates reach you by email — including announcements like this one.
- A content-lifecycle Performance screen. See your content's whole journey as a funnel — from published, to crawled, to cited in AI answers — in one clear view.
- Review newly-surfaced competitors. When Share-of-Voice measurement turns up a competitor you're not already tracking, GEOforge gives you an impact-ranked, 90-day review — with real explanations — that you can act on right there.
- One-click Cloudflare crawl tracking. Connect Cloudflare and install the crawl tracker in a single step to see how AI crawlers are visiting your site.
- A Wix Blog connector. Publish straight to Wix Blog, alongside the CMSs GEOforge already supports.
- Assign team members to multiple projects. Admins can now give a user access to several brands at once.
Improved
- Steadier Share of Voice measurement. Measurements now spread evenly across the week instead of piling up on Monday, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode are on by default for new brands, and grading falls back across AI providers so runs reliably finish.
- More reliable AI generation. We completed a move to newer models, made large requests stream so they don't time out, and added provider fallbacks — so content and analysis keep working even when one provider has a wobble.
- Richer SignalForge reporting. A per-topic Share-of-Voice timeline and three-source content performance, with a corrected GA4 total.
- Smoother publishing. Cleaner paragraph and heading spacing on Wix, and a more compact publish dialog that keeps the buttons in view on smaller screens.
Fixed
- Published URLs are now recorded and matched far more reliably, and we backfilled historical gaps.
- Share of Voice and citation processing are more robust under load, so measurements and outreach opportunities no longer get stuck.
- A round of security hardening across access controls and outbound requests.
- CiteForge outreach replies are matched and threaded more reliably.
Version 1.5.0 — 19 June 2026
New
- Analytics built in. Track your GA4 and Google Search Console performance directly in GEOforge, with line charts and quick date-range presets — no more switching tabs to see how your content is doing.
- Share of Voice now covers Google's AI answers. SignalForge measures how often your brand appears in Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, alongside the AI assistants it already tracked.
- AI Interviews in BaseForge. Let GEOforge interview your subject-matter experts — by text or voice — to capture what they know straight into your knowledge base. You set the topics, and nothing is saved until you approve it.
- A reply inbox in CiteForge. Replies to your outreach now arrive in a threaded inbox you can read and respond to without leaving GEOforge, and you can add citation opportunities by hand.
- Images in your articles. Add images directly in the editor, organise them in a per-brand media library, and GEOforge re-hosts them automatically when you publish.
Improved
- More ways to fine-tune Share of Voice. Recalculate instantly with a single button, toggle competitors on and off to see the impact live, read positive / neutral / negative sentiment at a glance, and spot exactly when your prompt set changed on the trend chart.
- Smoother publishing. Publish to a specific WordPress post type, with support for The SEO Framework, plus a guided Prismic setup that saves your field mapping and checks everything before your first publish — now with per-article tags too.
- A cleaner, faster interface. Search for brands in the selector, tidier toolbars and charts, and more compact cards so you can see more at once.
Fixed
- Switching between brands now reliably refreshes every screen, so you never see another brand's data lingering.
- Content published to Webflow no longer carries over editor styling, and you can set your own content spacing.
- Auto-generated SEO titles are kept to a sensible length, and the editor no longer turns plain text that looks like a web address into a link.
- Outreach replies in CiteForge are routed and threaded more reliably.
Version 1.4.0 — 8 June 2026
New
- A built-in help center. Searchable documentation with screenshots covering every module — plus this "What's new" page — linked right from the sidebar.
- A support bot. Open the chat widget from your dashboard and it answers your questions straight from the help docs.
- Comments and collaboration in the article editor. Leave Google-Docs-style comments with @-mentions and notifications, browse a full version history with undo/redo, rely on autosave, and follow a day-by-day activity timeline.
- Outreach from your own verified domain. CiteForge now sends from a per-brand verified sender, with clearer setup and live delivery status.
- Choose which competitors count in Share of Voice. A dedicated Competitors settings tab lets you curate exactly which competitors are measured and filter out the noise.
Improved
- Share of Voice, redesigned. A clearer four-screen layout with richer reporting and cleaner, easier-to-read charts.
Fixed
- Tables now render correctly when publishing to Webflow and Prismic.
- Duplicate detection no longer mislinks articles, and refreshing a page no longer interrupts you.
- WordPress connection problems are reported clearly, instead of a permission error being mislabeled as a login failure.
- Manual publishing now records the real go-live date.
Version 1.3.0 — 20 May 2026
New
- Brand voice for the Writer. You can now describe exactly how the Writer should sound for each brand — tone, point of view, words to prefer or avoid — in Settings → Brand Profile. Every draft generated afterwards follows those guidelines, so content comes out on-brand without you having to rewrite it.
- Re-classify every citation opportunity in one click. When you change your brand profile or competitor list, CiteForge can now re-sort all of your existing opportunities to match — no need to wait for them to trickle through one at a time.
- Search and filter in the admin views. Both the ContentForge and Users management screens gained search boxes and filters, so large lists are much faster to work through.
Improved
- WordPress connects in one step. When you link a WordPress site, GEOforge now installs its companion plugin for you automatically — there's no separate download-and-upload step.
- Cleaner drafts. The Writer no longer leaves behind stray "thinking out loud" notes or editorial preambles at the top of an article. What you get is the finished piece.
- Sharper citation opportunities. LinkedIn company pages no longer crowd out genuine opportunities, and regional LinkedIn addresses (like the Spanish or German sites) are now recognised correctly.
- Bulk topic uploads behave. URLs you upload in bulk now correctly create "refresh" topics, and the author/category dropdowns no longer get stuck on "Loading…".
- Better WordPress publishing. Meta descriptions are written for both the Yoast and Rank Math SEO plugins, and a failed featured-image upload is now shown to you instead of quietly disappearing.
- More focused prompt recommendations. The Prompt Recommender stays more tightly on your category and drifts off-topic less often.
- Clearer settings label. The admin "Writer Backup Model" setting is now just called "Backup Model".
Fixed
- Switching between brands now reliably refreshes every brand-specific view, so you never see another brand's data lingering on screen.
Version 1.2.0 — 15 May 2026
New
- Duplicate detection in ContentForge. When a new draft overlaps something you've already written or published, GEOforge flags it for review so you can refresh the original instead of publishing a near-duplicate. Borderline cases get a second-opinion check before they're flagged.
- Drag-and-drop pipeline. Reorder topics by dragging their cards, rename the pipeline stages to match how your team works, and set dates on individual stages.
- Claim-by-claim quality cards. The content QA grader now shows each factual claim alongside the source file it came from, with a click-to-locate link that takes you straight to the supporting passage.
- More control over refreshes. Choose to start a piece over from scratch with a "generate fresh" override, even on a topic that was set up as a refresh.
Improved
- More reliable AI generation. If the main AI model hits an error while grading content quality or measuring Share of Voice, GEOforge now automatically falls back to a backup model rather than failing the run.
- Polished WordPress publishing. Re-publishing swaps the featured image correctly, content width is kept in check, structured data no longer leaks into the visible post body, and publish dates are stamped accurately.
- More balanced content mix. The Strategist now spreads its recommendations across formats (Blog, FAQ, Case Study, How-To) instead of leaning too heavily on one.
Fixed
- Webflow draft URLs no longer leak into the published URL.
- The refresh banner now shows the correct link and its dropdown no longer gets clipped.
- Meeting-transcript imports from Fireflies retry automatically if the service is briefly rate-limited.
- Page slugs now handle accented and non-Latin characters gracefully instead of stripping them out.
Version 1.1.0 — 7 May 2026
New
- Manual publishing. If you don't use one of the connected content systems, GEOforge now gives you the finished, formatted article to copy and paste wherever you publish.
- Prismic publishing. Publish directly to Prismic, with field mapping configurable per brand.
- Tables in the content editor. Build and edit tables inside drafts.
- Information-gain scores in BaseForge. Each document in your knowledge base now shows how much genuinely new information it adds, so you can tell substantial sources apart from near-duplicates at a glance.
Improved
- Reworked content quality scoring. Quality grading moved to a claim-by-claim approach that's more stable and easier to act on than the older rubric-style audit.
- Tighter citation scoring. CiteForge's priority score was recalibrated and simplified so the opportunities at the top of your list are the ones genuinely worth pursuing.
- More trustworthy refreshes. The refresh pipeline is better protected against drifting away from the source page or inventing details.
Fixed
- WordPress no longer repeats the article title as a heading inside the body.
- Error messages from Webflow and other publishing connectors are clearer and more specific.
Version 1.0.0 — 28 April 2026
- GEOforge is generally available. After a period in private beta, GEOforge graduated to its first full release.
