Use GEOforge from your AI assistant
Connect GEOforge to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or another AI assistant, then ask about your visibility, content and citations in plain language.
You can connect GEOforge to the AI assistant you already use and ask it about your account in plain language: "How did our visibility change this week?", "What should we write next?", "Which sites should we pitch?" The assistant reads your GEOforge data and our help center to answer.
What you need
- A GEOforge account. Any plan works, including the free trial.
- An AI assistant that supports custom connectors (also called MCP connectors or apps).
Connect it
Use this address wherever your assistant asks for a connector URL:
https://mcp.getgeoforge.com/mcp- Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile apps): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, then paste the address. On Team and Enterprise plans an organization owner adds it first, under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web; choose to sign in when needed, so each person connects with their own GEOforge account. Then each teammate turns it on under Settings → Connectors.
- ChatGPT: turn on developer mode (on Business and Enterprise plans a workspace admin enables it under Workspace settings → Permissions & roles), then go to Apps → Create, paste the address and choose OAuth. On a workspace, an admin publishes the app before teammates can use it. Which ChatGPT plans can use connectors that make changes is up to OpenAI.
- Gemini: on gemini.google.com, Settings → Connected apps → Custom apps, then add the address. You can only add it on the web, but it then works in the Gemini mobile app too. Google currently offers custom apps only with a personal Google account (not a work or school one), in the US, to people 18 and over, with Keep Activity turned on. On Gemini Enterprise, an admin can add it for the organization instead.
- Other assistants and tools: any client that supports remote MCP servers can connect. If yours can't sign in with GEOforge itself, create a connection token in Account → Connected apps and paste it where the tool asks for an API key or bearer token.
The assistant then sends you to GEOforge to sign in. There you choose:
- Which brands it can see, if you have more than one.
- What it can do. "See your brands' data" is always on. Brand admins can also let it change settings, prompts, drafts and the knowledge base. If your assistant doesn't say what it needs, only "see your data" starts ticked, so tick the change permission yourself if you want it. Admins can also let it start AI jobs that use your plan's quota: writing an article, recommendations, prompt suggestions and outreach drafts. Each one first shows you what it will cost (for example "1 of your 43 remaining articles this month") and runs only after you agree.
- Publishing and sending. Two more permissions start unticked: publish or schedule articles to your website, and send outreach emails and replies from your domain. Tick them only if you want your assistant to do that. Before anything goes out, GEOforge itself shows exactly what will be published or sent: the article and where it goes, or the recipient, subject and full email. Nothing goes out until you say yes. If the article or email changes after you've seen it, your assistant has to show you the new version first.
What to ask
See What to ask your AI assistant for example requests, what it can change for you, and what stays in the app.
Disconnect
Go to Account → Connected apps in GEOforge and select Disconnect next to the assistant. It loses access immediately. Changing your password also disconnects every assistant.
Your data
Your assistant only receives the GEOforge data it asks for to answer you, and never your passwords or integration credentials. Every request it makes is logged, and changes made through an assistant show up in your brand's activity feed. Your assistant's provider handles your conversation under its own terms; see our privacy policy.
Assistants we've tested
Any assistant that supports remote MCP connectors with sign-in should work. These are the ones we have tested end to end (connect, read your data, make a change, a quota preview, disconnect):
| Assistant | Status |
|---|---|
| Claude (claude.ai) | Tested, October 2026 |
| ChatGPT | Not yet tested |
| Gemini | Not yet tested |
If something doesn't work in your assistant, contact support from the help button in the app.
Notifications and email preferences
Stay on top of activity with the in-app notifications bell, and choose exactly which updates reach you by email.
