Choose the country and language Google AI Overviews and AI Mode are asked in when your Share of Voice is measured.
The SignalForge tab under Settings controls how your Share of Voice is measured on Google's AI engines.
Only admins can change it. Other users see it read-only.
Google AI Overviews / AI Mode location and language
Google tailors its AI answers to where a search comes from and the language it's made in. The same question asked from London and from Madrid can name different brands. So that your Share of Voice on these two engines reflects what your buyers actually see, set:
- Location: the country your buyers search from. Defaults to the United States.
- Language: the language they search in. Defaults to English.
These apply only to Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. ChatGPT doesn't let us choose the country or language its answers are given for, so ChatGPT measurement isn't affected.
A change takes effect from the next measurement. The first change in Share of Voice after you switch compares answers from two different markets, for example US English before and Danish after. That applies to the change figure on the Overall SoV card, to the Share of Voice charts, and to the weekly digest. None of them mark the switch yet, so don't read that first change as a real rise or fall in visibility. Judge the trend from the measurements after it. The switch is recorded in your Activity feed so you can see when it happened.
